Breaking Ground: My 24-year journey working construction. From on the tools (and up on scaffolding)  to leading a design-build firm. 

It all started in the early 2000s. Every construction job was on scaffolding and the walls were yellow ochre---it was the Tuscan Design era. We created beautiful homes. I learned so much working on new construction in the early 2000s---Embarking on a renovation is a journey that demands creativity, precision, and integrity.

Around 2008,  my skills and training evolved into kitchen remodels and cabinetry. I've always focused on blending practical skills with understanding each homeowner's vision.

My transition to a full-service general contractor was a natural progression. My military background (Army Nurse) and degree in journalism  created the perfect foundation for managing a larger renovation business where client communication and attention to detail are mandatory for success.

When not managing TRS, I love spending time with my Jack Russell Bambi and going on daytrips around Kansas City. I'm a bit of a tech geek and always reading about the newest develops. I love to learn new things in many fields, and researching the latest and greatest in construction.
